Need help programming or operating your infant simulator? Questions about Control Center software and the handheld control unit? You’re in the right place!
If you can’t find the answers to your deepest questions here, please call our helpful Product Support technicians at 715.830.2040 or 800.830.1416 weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Central Time).
Choose a start time that is in the same hour as the current time of day.
Example: If it is 11:30 a.m., you must transfer data to Baby before 12:00 p.m. Otherwise Baby will not start for over a week.
NO! Do not remove the rechargeable battery module. The charge may be too low to start a simulation. Use the "Readiness Check" option to verify battery voltage. Recharge Baby if the voltage is below 5.2 volts.
If you have chosen “Print New” and there are no new reports, the control unit will go back to the previous screen without taking action. Go to “Print Report” and print simulation reports individually.
The batteries in the control unit could be low. Change the batteries and try the control unit again. No data is lost.
Normal control unit battery life is 30 to 40 days even if the control unit is NOT in use. Be sure to remove a battery if the control unit will not be used for more than two weeks.
Baby may not be in the control unit’s communication range. The best communication areas on Baby are on its upper chest and lower belly region. Hold the control unit two inches from either Baby’s chest or diaper area and hold it steady for five seconds. Do not wave the control unit around Baby. If the “SEARCHING” screen remains, remove one battery from Baby, wait 15 seconds and replace the battery. Point the control unit at Baby, and if there is no response, check the battery levels of both the control unit and Baby.
Make sure to keep all RealCare® Baby II infant simulators at least 6 inches apart. If Babies are too close together, this may cause improper data transfer or a delay in data transfer.
The control unit will store data for up to 30 Babies. You cannot manually delete stored information from the control unit. After data for 30 Babies has been stored in the control unit, the oldest viewed simulations will automatically be deleted with each new simulation that is downloaded.
NOTE: Be sure to view any simulations in the control unit that show NEW next to their name. Any NEW reports will remain at the top of the report screen, and all previously viewed reports will fall below the NEW reports. The viewed reports are the first to be deleted.
If you have RealCare® Baby II-plus and Control Center software, you can start Baby using the software.
RealCare® Baby II has an emergency start/stop button and can be started that way. The current simulation data stored in Baby will be lost. To start Baby, use the battery cover key to open Baby’s battery cover. Remove one battery. Replace the battery. Baby will chime. Within 30 seconds, use a straightened paper clip to quickly and gently press and hold the Emergency Start/Stop button until Baby chimes three times. Baby will coo and the simulation will begin. There will be no quiet times and Baby follows schedules 1-15 in numerical order. Baby will recognize the IDs that you have previously configured.
Replace the battery cover and lock it.
